Check Up

Here is Miss Binks and I in our carrier.  I went back to the vet for a follow up.  Seems I am favouring Critical Care a lot so Mom figured we needed to go for another check up.  Miss Binks came along for the ride because hey, we like to be together and when we are not together, we get sad.  Look at how pretty she is with her face in the sunlight.  I'm behind her contemplating an escape.......

Dr. Marco gave me a check up and he thinks that it might be a good idea to get my teeth examined more closely.  That means bringing me back and having me sedated so that a good, proper examination can be done, and if there are any spikes on my teeth, they can be filed down.  Dr. Marco saw one that he thought might be bothering me but he thinks there may be more he can't see.  Mom and Dad are not too pleased about having to bring me back and having me put under - I haven't been put under since I lost my "boys" 7 years ago - so they are a little nervous.  Binky will come with me and she can stay with me in the cage while I recover.  Mom is going to take the day off work so that she can be available to bring us home as soon as we are ready.

So that's the update on me.  Don't worry my peeps, I am doing well.  I am eating all my Critical Care and my salads and hopefully after a tooth trim I will be back to scarfing down some hay.  My poops are good and my mood is as spirited as ever!  And to prove it, see below for a video of me in my carrier, keeping my Stupid Blanket in line.....

Mom is a worrier.  She says she will not be able to sleep until this procedure is over and I am back to normal.  I keep telling her not to worry, but I think it would really help her if you all could send some good thoughts our way.  I'm not a young bunny anymore and any type of procedure at my age is risky so Mom says the more good thoughts, the better!

I will post again after Thursday for an update on my teeth and to let you all know how I am doing.  Thanks for all the support many of you have already sent my way - I really appreciate it!

That is clearly the dumbest blanket EVER. Good thing you're staying on the case!

Mr. Mick gets his molars ground down every two months. His vet uses gas to put him under so it's less stressful on him and he's awake and back to normal again in no time. We will be thinking good thoughts for successful tooth-fixing for you as well, Fluffy, because those Stupid Blankets need you to keep them in line.
